"It is sad to know that we no longer have the best world championship, the Rhino Cup Champions League.
We are people who love football, I particularly love football, my whole community loves football, so everyone is demoralized, the community was used to spend every Sunday from 1 pm on the field to watch games!
So proud of the leadership shown by the RCCL Committee in Mozambique.
The Committee, along with Madam Chief Helena Chivite of the Sabie Government Post, used funds provided by Wild and Free Foundation to purchase and deliver food and supplies to 35 families in need during quarantine. Each family received: rice; flour; beans; sugar; salt; cooking oil; chicken broth; matches; soap; and surgical masks. Well done RCCL Committee!!
A letter on behalf of all the Men’s Rhino Cup Champions League Teams:
"To Wild and Free Foundation on behalf of the 14 clubs participating in the Rhino Cup Champions League Mozambique Championship.
It is with deep pain that the whole world is losing their families with the pandemic of the Covid-19 a.k.a corona virus. The Clubs come by this letter to inform that with the long stoppage of our sporting activities we can again suffer certain conceptions in the middle of the community, a problem for young people to return to dismal life.
"For me, the RCCL brought a change, evolution, and improvement in our locality and in local football.
From 2016 to 2019, the rate of deaths and prisoners by the rhino hunt has decreased enough here in Sabie, and that is already an important value for our society.
And it is very sad that Covid-19 has paralyzed this particular sporting activity.
Look at this: at the beginning of April, we already lost 5 Young Locals who invaded Kruger National Park .. to go hunting for Rhino .. 😢
